Parking Debate in Lynton & Lynmouth: Have Your Say
Tors Road: Now a Residential Parking Zone
We’ve heard that a formal request has also now been submitted to Devon County Council for residential parking zonesin other areas of Lynton – including Lee Road, Crossmead, Park Gardens, and Lydiate Lane.
With Tors Road in Lynmouth now officially a Residential Parking Zone, this topic has stirred quite a bit of local debate.
Is this a step in the right direction to support our permanent residents who struggle to park near their homes – especially in the busy season?
Or...
Is this the beginning of a wider problem – risking our town becoming less accessible to visitors, day-trippers, and those who work in our tourism sector?
Some are concerned this could drive more people into already pricey car parks – or worse, away from Lynton & Lynmouth altogether.
What do you think?
📣 Is this fair for full-time residents?
🅿️ Will it make life harder for those working in or visiting our towns?
💬 Should second-home owners have the same rights as permanent residents?
