Public Accountability or Personal Agenda?

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that Councillor John Patrinos has become the most vocal member of the council on social media in recent months. While visibility and engagement can be a good thing, the tone of his recent posts has raised concerns among members of our community.

Rather than focusing on council matters, Councillor Patrinos appears to be using his platform to single out a local business owner and community member—labeling her a “troublemaker” and accusing her of “stirring the pot.” Is this genuine concern for the parish or an attempt to discredit someone with a different point of view?

Even more troubling, it has come to our attention that private and confidential documents were left behind by Councillor Patrinos following a recent Full Council meeting. Whether this was a careless mistake or an intentional move is unclear—but it does raise serious questions.

Was this an effort to bait the Town Crier out of the shadows? Or was it a deliberate leak meant to sway public opinion by conveniently making “valuable” information accessible?

Transparency is crucial in public service—but so is integrity. It's time we asked ourselves: whose interests are truly being served?
