A Message from the Town Crier

 

The Town Crier would like to extend congratulations to Adrian Hobbs, our newly elected Mayor, who received the highest number of votes from fellow councillors during the recent mayoral election. 

In his own words, Adrian promises to serve with “integrity, openness and respect” — and even says that for those who don’t know him, there will be passion! We sincerely hope so.

He also states, “I welcome constructive ideas and positive engagement from all members of the community.” That sounds like a step in the right direction. If the Council is genuinely ready for collaboration, then let it be known: The Town Crier is open to handing over the lines of communication back to the Council. The door is open — will you walk through it?

The Crier would also like to congratulate all councillors elected or appointed to committees at the recent meetings. Let this be the beginning of a more transparent, respectful, and truly representative Council that works with the community, not against it.

We live in a special place. Let’s work together to keep it that way.
